Business club raises £320 for Autism Initiatives
Autism Initiatives has become the latest local charity to benefit from money raised by a popular Southport business networking event.
The Southport Business Club is an event organised by local professionals from Chiks, Harbour Business Group, Birchall Blackburn solicitors and Royal Bank of Scotland.
It brings together local businesses and entrepreneurs in a relaxed and informal atmosphere to make new connections and create new opportunities, as well as raising money for good causes.
The latest event has raised £322 for Autism Initiatives which will support the development of social enterprise in the area.
Around forty local business owners and entrepreneurs attended the latest event, which was held at The New Ronnies, welcoming special guests from Southport BID and Invest Sefton.
Partner at Chiks, said: “The Southport Business Club is a great forum for local entrepreneurial business owners to come together in a relaxed environment to hear important business updates whilst dining with friends and raising money for charity”.
Jon Gordon, the Enterprise Manager for Autism Initiatives said, “The Southport Business Club is a great idea and well supported. The money raised from this event will be used directly to support people with autism on work placements at MeCycle, a social enterprise bike shop and café in Ainsdale. I would like to thank the group for their generous donation and hospitality on the night.”
