Kendal duo gain Chiks promotion

Ian Clark and Colin Johnson have been promoted to partner at Chiks, which is based at Murley Moss Business Village.
Ian, from Windermere, joined the firm as a trainee in 1985 and heads up the firm’s audit team in Kendal as well as advising a number of owner managed businesses across Cumbria.
Leisure and tourism specialist, Colin, has been with the firm since 1993. Colin works with small to medium sizes business across Cumbria and has appeared on the BBC commentating on business and financial issues affecting the tourism sector.
Chiks employs 18 partners and over 200 staff at offices in Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancaster, Preston, Blackpool and Nottingham.
Managing partner of Chiks, said: “Ian and Colin have tremendous respect from clients and colleagues and have played a central role in our success in Kendal.
“We invest heavily in training and development and it’s rewarding to see good people join the firm at a young age and progress through the ranks.”
Ian, 46, said: “We have a great team here and I still get huge satisfaction from working on a variety of clients across a diverse range of issues.”
Colin, 37, from Kirkby Lonsdale, said: “It’s great to make the partnership. Our Kendal office has gone from strength to strength in recent years with many new staff and clients joining the firm and I am looking forward to the future.”
