Autism Initiatives has become the latest local charity to benefit from MHA Chiks’s ‘Putting Something Back’ initiative.
MeCycle is a social enterprise run by Autism Initiatives which brings together cycling enthusiasts to experience their unique café and bike workshop based in Ainsdale.
MHA Chiks, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, have contributed significantly in raising money for MeCycle, supporting their vision that people with autism can learn, develop and take ownership of their own lives.
MHA Chiks’s latest donation has allowed MeCycle to purchase an outdoor structure provided by Sun Leisure which will allow them to continue to provide expert cycle sales and repairs, advice and tuition to local cycling enthusiasts.
Jon Gordon, Autism Initiatives’ Social Enterprise Manager, said, “This gazebo will be such a help to the cafe as we use it for events like security tagging, in conjunction with the council, and bike maintenance training. We’ll also use it when we go out with our mobile bike servicing project. Thanks to all the staff at MHA Chiks Southport for their enthusiasm in raising so much money. The gazebo is going to be a great asset to our Ainsdale café.”
Danny Houghton, Partner at MHA Chiks said: ’MeCycle is a fantastic project and great business initiative. We’re thrilled to be able to support them in any way we can and firmly believe in what they’re trying to achieve for the local area and community.’
