Quiz night raises funds for Hospice
May 11, 2016
A quiz night organised by Chiks’s Lancaster Office has raised funds for St John’s Hospice.
Over 70 local professionals challenged their grey matter in the annual Chiks quiz night held at Molly’s Italian restaurant in Lancaster. Teams from Oglethorpe, Sturton and Gillibrand, Reid Hamilton, Handelsbanken, HSBC, Barclays, Baines Wilson, NatWest, Harrison Drury, The Cumberland Building Society, Joseph A Jones and JWK Solicitors all took part.
The Cumberland Building Society were crowned champions on the night after beating off stiff competition from Reid Hamilton and The St John’s Hospice team who came second and third respectively.
More than £900 was raised on the night for the Hospice.
Helen Soutar, Grants, Legacies and In Memoriam Officer for St John’s Hospice said “It was fantastic to see such a great turnout from the Lancaster business community at the quiz, we had a brilliant time and everyone who attended really enjoyed the night. The money raised will help us to continue our work in caring for patients with life shortening conditions, their families and loved ones.”
Adam Parton, Partner at Chiks, said “We are grateful to everyone who took part in the quiz to raise money for such a valuable community cause.”
